Studio Update #4

February 9, 2011

I hope everyone appreciated the samples that we posted, we still have a lot of work left to do. We made some more progress last weekend with Mat Haliday on a couple new tracks. It’s been decided that only 5 songs will be making it onto the EP. We may end up back in the studio this weekend or next depending on Mat’s schedule. He is simultaneously finishing up with Heroes On Parade’s full length album. While we were in the studio we got to here some tracks, it sounds awesome. So if you like chick fronted bands with “hero” in the name, check out their new album when it’s available.

Speaking of our name, we’ve been kicking around the idea of a change for awhile. A Hero Falls is a name we picked for our band when we were thinking of pursuing metal. Since this EP will be our first official release, and it is pop-rock we thought it would be a perfect time if any, for a change. Of course, not all of us agree that it would be a good thing, but we would love to hear your thoughts and ideas.

Also, I’m excited to say that we have started working with Paper St. Management Co. To book shows among other things. And our first show with the help of Scott Hanlin is April 10th at The Crofoot in Pontiac, MI. We will be playing with Romance On A Rocketship (Island Records) and For The Foxes (Hopeless Records). Check out the link to Paper Street’s Facebook page in our link section.

Another show that we have been asked to play is going to be a benefit for the Brighton Alternative Schools hosted at Brighton High School on March 18th. We don’t have many details yet but we’ll keep you posted. The same goes for BledFest. They are announcing bands daily, so check out their webpage to stay informed. Whether we play or not, still plan on going, it’s May 28th. Nate never disappoints.

Unfortunately, I will be taking the song samples down shortly. You can commit them to memory if you want, otherwise you’ll just have to be patient for the EP. That means you mom.
