Promises To Keep; Miles From Sleep

August 25, 2012

Hello people,

We are all done recording our new album “Promises To Keep; Miles From Sleep” and the album artwork is completed as well. Steve Pierce from Balefire Studios really came through on this design. The idea for the name came from the poem, Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost. If you haven’t read it, you need to. Basically, we have a lot of things we want to do before we call it quits as a band and in life in general. The artwork is based off of the setting described in the poem and it works perfect for us being a Michigan band. You can check out Steve’s other work here:

So, I guess it’s ok if I release the track list:

1. Am I Ready?
2. I’ll Tell You Everyday
3. Forgiveness
4. Impressionable Youth
5. As Good As It Gets
6. Grassroots
7. Results And Prospects
8. Stay With Me
9. Moving On
10. Feeling Something
11. Music Is A Weapon

Bonus Tracks:
12. Am I Ready (acoustic)
13. Moving On (acoustic)
14. From Our Eyes (8-bit)

Get excited! Steve also made us a really cool t-shirt that goes with our Michigan theme as well.

We have to give a thanks to the horn section from M.A.R.R.S. Rick Vore and Paul Chapman. These guys came into the studio with us and recorded on handful of tracks and they sounded amazing. It has changed our whole sound as a band.

We have a good schedule coming up for september with shows all over the state.

9/29/12 @ The Fourth Wall
Jackson, MI
9/15/12 @ TBD
Warren, MI
9/1/12 @ Inside Out Gallery
Traverse City, MI

Here’s a pic of us rocking out opening up for Chiodos at their first show back with Craig Owens

Wish I could of come to the Chiodos show 😦 MN is so far away maybe if you ever play with Still Remains or Bled Fest again.

What did you mean by “Basically, we have a lot of things we want to do before we call it quits as a band and in life in general.”??? you just mean you have a long road a head, or are you guys breaking up? cuz thats not cool 😦 haha

I didn’t mean that we’re going to break up. Definitely not. Just that there is so much that we can do still, a lot of ideas we have and material that hasn’t been explored. It’s an optimistic statement for sure. 🙂
